Our Story

Heavy Equip is a leading excavating, grading, and paving company based out of Truckee, CA. Established in 1993, Heavy Equip is owned and operated by life-long Truckee residents. We are dedicated to providing top-notch services by focusing on building trusting relationships with our clients, and ensuring proficient results in our projects, no matter the size.

 

We offer services in the greater Truckee-Tahoe Area, as well as in Northern Nevada. Our team of experts is committed to delivering exceptional and reliable results for every project, and the highest satisfaction of our clients.

Past projects include the infrastructure for the Winter Creek Subdivision. Providing underground mainline water, sewer, and electrical services for over 130 lots.

Our paving services are conducted with the highest regard for precision and attention to detail. Whether it's replacing a small driveway, a new large commercial project, or anything in between, we have the expertise and equipment to handle paving projects meticulously and efficiently.

With over 25 years of snow removal experience, we provide highly skilled equipment operators dedicated to timely and efficient snow removal. Our current clients for the 2024-2025 season include Glenshire Elementary School, Alder Creek Middle School, and the TTUSD Transportation & Maintenance Office.

Projects & Partnerships

We pride ourselves in long standing relationships with local builders including Lamperti Construction, Gallagher Construction, NSM Construction, and MD Construction. 

  • Excavation for over 50 homes in Martis Camp, over 20 in Lahontan, and over 150 homes in the greater Truckee-Tahoe Basin.

  • Excavation, site-work, and grading for the new Truckee Tahoe Lumber Yard on Soaring Way, Truckee.

  • Union Pacific Railroad paving and road base work project.

  • Excavation and ground-work for several new homes under construction in Clear Creek Tahoe.
